Michael King was graduated from Dartmouth College in 1957. He studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in the summer of 1964 and on a Sabbatical year in Rome with Gregorio Prestopino at The American Academy in 1968. He was awarded his Masters in Arts Education from Boston University in 1984. King was Head of the Art Department and the first Director of the Robert Lehman Art Center at Brooks School, No. Andover, MA, during his 36 years at the School.
